Introduction to analogue photography: a brief history of photography and the principles of image formation through light. Camera mechanisms, operation and equipment. The capturing of the image. Laboratory work: developing negatives and enlarging. This workshop uses Caffenol-C to develop film and photographic paper.
Each participant will make a negative and a 10×15 photographic enlargement.

Photographers for a Day: Earth Day
Last Friday, April 22nd, invited by the Junta de Freguesia de S. João da Madeira, Casa da Imagem and 28 children from the 3rd year of Escola do Parque dedicated the day to walking around, photographing and developing.
Together we celebrated the Earth Day capturing the Park’s natural elements. Then we went to the School and developed with Caffenol-C, a non-toxic coffee based chemistry.
