Family albums are true relics that are passed down from generation to generation and that allow us to visit family members and preserve memories. The passing of the years, house moves and some small accidents contribute to photographs or albums not always remaining in the best conditions. Images start to fade, reflect silver salts or show humidity stains.

In this workshop we will briefly talk about the history of photography, what a photograph is made of and how it deteriorates.

Afterwards we will consider the preservation and preventive conservation processes and the different materials for photograph packaging.
With this training your albums and family photos will be visible for many more generations!
