On 4 July, from 3 pm, we will reopen Casa da Imagem to the whole community.

The afternoon begins with a guided tour of the ‘Arte Maior’ exhibition (3 pm), a group exhibition by students from the Gaia Maior Senior Academy, which opened on 17 June.

At 5 pm, we will be holding a monotype workshop as part of P.A. VIII – Artist’s Proof – International Meeting of Printmakers, Printers and Publishers, entitled ‘Marca da casa’, conceived and led by Marta Belkot and Benjamin Courtault.

In monotype, there is no second time. Every gesture leaves a mark that is never repeated — that impression, that moment, that state. Like a home: unique, made up of the marks left by those who pass through it. Marta and Benjamin invite you to an event to explore this technique, where control and chance meet, lose each other and reinvent themselves, centred on the idea of home and what it holds. Each participant leaves with something unique, because everything created here is unique.
