Over the past few months, building on the findings of the focus groups, the #FriendsOfPandora project team has been working on developing arts-based activities centred around three key themes: interpersonal skills, legal and digital literacy, and cultural awareness and expression. At the end of May, the team met in Sweden at the Faculty of Education and Communication at Jönköping University for a week of training and sharing of arts-based activities with carers of people with intellectual disabilities from the three project countries: Portugal, Greece and Sweden.
The training week began with an introductory session held in a hybrid format, with the participation of the Portuguese Erasmus+ National Agency. It took place across the Faculty’s various spaces, workshops and studios, with dedicated technical support to facilitate experimentation and knowledge-sharing among participants.
As part of a project based on collaboration between cross-sector organisations, the meeting was essential for learning, developing and creating, together with carers, new ways of addressing the challenge of helping everyone to participate in social media.
Reflection on and evaluation of the activities have taken the project to a new stage of development, which will be explored between September and December as part of the next steps!
