The Casa da Imagem works with a photographic collection comprising an archive of around 500,000 photographs taken by the \u2018Foto-Comercial Te\u00f3filo Rego\u2019 house-industry (1947-c.1998). The fund also includes a collection of cameras and devices, which were collected by Te\u00f3filo Rego and which document the technological evolution from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, as well as various pieces of equipment belonging to his photographic studio.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Foto-Comercial Te\u00f3filo Rego\u2019 archive is a valuable photographic reference on Porto and the north of Portugal. Along with Te\u00f3filo Rego’s personal photographic record, it brings together the commercial work carried out over five decades, and is one of the most representative of the cultural and industrial panorama of the northern region. This collection is currently being recovered for conservation and digital reproduction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
