A sensitising and experimental workshop to understand what cinema is. A short animated video is made using the Stop Motion technique, using free software. Frame by frame, image by image, stories are told and knowledge of moving image production and the principles of optics is mobilised.

Zootrope – life that spins – an animated loop. In this workshop we will bring to life the animated object Zootrope, an ancestor of the greatest visual art of time: cinema. We’ll build the skeleton of this object and design a sequence of images that, inside it, will come to life.

In this workshop we will seek to dazzle the eye with colour and form, produced through the specular reflection of translucent materials.
The image is made up of a geometry of mirrors reproduced to infinity.
