FROM THEORETICAL REFLECTION TO PROCESSUAL PHOTOGRAPHIC PRACTICE was a collaborative project between the CEAA of ESAP and Casa da Imagem. The first objective of the project was to provide a historical framework and theoretical reflection on the photographic processes of the 19th and early 20th centuries, cyanotype, salted paper, Van Dyke brown, albumen and wet collodion, which are now seen as alternative photographic processes. Secondly, the project made it possible to put these processes into practice using an up-to-date and adapted methodology, making it possible to create clear and operative instructions for teaching purposes; an edition of postcards was produced which are made available to visitors to the Casa das Imagens Museum – we have made this collection available. HERE. Finally, based on theoretical and practical research, the project produced artistic work, the results of which were presented publicly at the Exhibition with the same name as the project, presented at Casa da Imagem.
