#FriendsOfPandora: Empowering carers to help people with intellectual disabilities participate in social media.

The #FriendsOfPandora project aims to increase caregivers’ capacity to support people with intellectual disabilities in using digital social networks.

We are:

Coordinator: Casa da Imagem da Fundação Manuel Leão (cultural centre focusing on artistic projects and activities).
The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Porto (UP), with projects focusing on inclusion and disability.
Jönköping University’s School of Education and Communication (HLK) conducts research and teaching activities focusing on sustainability, digitalisation and inclusion.
The EMST Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens runs innovative programmes through its education department.
APPACDM-Porto: Support for people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

What drives us:

Promoting non-formal learning resources and practices for carers of people with intellectual disabilities.
We promote and raise awareness of the participation of people with intellectual disabilities on social media.
Promoting inclusion and diversity.
Contributing to social change.
