Alguém reparou? (Did anyone notice?)
Invisible learnings at school
Date: 26 april to 9 may
Time: 14h:00 to 19:00
Place: Casa da Imagem
A exposição apresenta um conjunto de trabalhos resultantes de práticas colaborativas e de investigação entre escolas e artistas, educadoras(es), investigadoras(es), instituições culturais e artísticas e a comunidade em geral.
The exhibition ‘Did anyone notice? Invisible learning at school’ is a partnership between Casa da Imagem – Manuel Leão Foundation and the OCUP_EA project (i2ads/FBAUP).
The exhibition presents a set of works resulting from collaborative practices and research between schools and artists, educators, researchers, cultural and artistic institutions and the community in general.
‘Guided learning practices in formal educational contexts are built on expectations of what will be learnt, who will learn and with whom. How and when should learning take place? In this way, there is a controlled environment of power over what will be observed and recorded as learning. Power over knowledge determines a previously directed focus of recording, which builds a reductive and limited collective educational archive that generates exclusions. The Ocup_EA project aims to shift the focus away from the expected learning that takes place in regulatory educational contexts, looking for and understanding others that may arise, invisible to the education system. This exhibition materialises this search in the school context, relating it to collaborative and research practices that aim to question the spaces in which Art Education is enclosed.’
