PRESSHERE: A LIVE ARCHIVE ON INDUSTRY, is a project on the past, present and future of industry, on labor issues, gender issues and fundamental human rights. PressHere transforms museum archives into living archives.
The PressHere Research Guide is aimed at educators, teachers, researchers and young people, to be used in schools, museums or other contexts. It is an object that catalyses new and meaningful learning. The concepts in this Guide have been associated with content from the school curriculum, from pre-school to secondary school, worked on through a series of art-based activities.
The art-based workshops encourage the development of critical thinking and concrete action on the images in the Archives and the concepts in the Research Guide, relating them to the everyday experiences of children and young people, generating a new and lively archive of images. The workshops promote creativity and divergent and associative thinking, as well as exploratory skills, attention and sensitivity. They involve multimedia digital resources dedicated to the project.
PressHere was funded by the Erasmus+ Cooperation for School Education program between 2021-2023. Partners: MyDocumenta, Spain, Agrupamento de Escolas António Fernandes de Sá, Portugal Nezihe Derya Baltalı Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi, Turkey, Launceston College, England and Gabrovo Municipality, Bulgaria.
